What always amazes me is how that digital footprint fatigue changes for me, almost daily. One day I can have 12 screens open and a podcast in my ears, and it's fine. Another day even reading an ebook is wearying. All I can do is pay attention and follow my energy.

My relationship to digital spaces- as a human and a digital designer- is full of such tension and opposition and delight and on/offs. I find myself craving expressions and spaces that leave room for ambiguity, questions, and literal open, empty space. Which your newsletter- and this post- do so very well <3

I remember while in the depths of despair during quarantine, I read a Q+A you were doing on IG where someone had asked you “how do you make your living?” You answered by pinning a bunch of words and practices and listing off a ton of things. I took a screen shot and thought YA. I want it to feel like that. ALL THE THINGS. Sometimes I feel invigorated by all of the containers I’m running and other times it feels exactly like what you’ve just described. It’s a dance! Thanks for sharing all sides of it.

I've been thinking about this a lot recently. I'm trying to reintegrate pieces of myself I've chipped away because they weren't "on brand". I'm not a brand. I'm a human. I've scheduled a Substack tomorrow exploring the difference between creating a personal "brand" and developing your style as an artist. You are such an inspiration to me in this process and your podcast has landed at the just right time for me. We contain multitudes. 💫
